वो छोटी अमेरिकन गिलहरी
हमारे देश की
गिलहरियों से अलग
मोटी ताजी
स्वतंत्र ,भय मुक्त
इक्क्षाओं से भरी
बार बार पेड़ से उतरती
कागज़ उठाती
जतन से मुहँ में दबाती
पेड़ पे बने घोसले में
रख आती
समाप्त हुए कागज़
घुमाई दृष्टि इधर उधर
देखा
थे दूसरे पेड़ के नीचे कुछ
झबरीली पूंछ हिलती
दौडी उस को उठाने को
उसी पेड़ से उतर
गिलहरी दूसरी
आई इसे भागने को
ये आती
वो भागती
मैं देख रही थी तमाशा सब
अचानक सुना मैने
ये गिलहरी बोली
क्यों भगा रही हो मुझे
क्या तुम को भी है लगी
हवा भारत की
जो मै एक क्षेत्र से
क्षेत्र दूसरे जा सकती नही
सुन के शर्मसार हुई मै
चली गई गिलहरी
कागज उठा के
और मै सर झुका के
